"My name is Anuphab Loyfar and I am the middle child of my family, with an older sister and a younger sister. My father has an ice factory and my mother takes care of my sisters and me and looks after our home.
"My love for art comes from my mother who is very good at oil painting. Most of her work depicts Buddha images. I am the only one of her children who likes art. Both of my sisters are more inclined toward business, just like my father. Because I've really liked art since I was young, I began working in product design with my mother's support and encouragement.
"I graduated from The Prince Royal College in Chiang Mai where my teacher recommended that I study art. So I choose industrial design as my major at the Rajamangala University of Technology in 1988, and at Kingsmongkut Institute of Technology Ladkrabang in 1991. My high grades there were probably my most impressive achievement.
"After graduation, I worked as a jewelry designer for a Thai-French company for the next ten years. In 2000, I ventured out on my own and brought some jewelry design theory to my designs in pewter.
"My life is simple and normal; I am satisfied with what I have. I am hardworking but it all comes from my heart. I don't want anything much in the future – all I want is just to be happy as I always am now.
"I am so proud to be one of the many artisans who show Thai art to people all over the world. I'd like to tell them that my designs are my pride. Make your space an inspired one."
